There is without a doubt a continual existence of a competency gap among men and women lawyers. Some of the experiences that women lawyers face due to their gender in this dominated area of profession by men consist of women continually get denied any promotions, salary wages and are seen as vulnerable and the need of being taken care of just due to their gender. A specific case is talked about in the GE case that wants to be taken to court. A very prominent and intelligent women is suing the company due to the continual competency role the corporation is taking place by not higher women to higher positions that they have. Although she may have all of the qualifications it is reasonable for corporations that are gendered to think that women might not be able to handle it so they will take it out of their hands without asking ,without, giving women an option. I find these really disturbing. I had thought that issues of justice like these were way back in the century and the reality is that they really are happing. Women present all aspects of good qualities but due to how they have been constructed by the media and a patriarchal society. Many are proud when they do achieve something important but for many men or corporations they just see it as something they could or are capable of doing. It is unfortunate that women are still oppressed by institutions that re suppose to work for the well being of all regardless of gender. The worst fact that i found out from the readings is that other male lawyers try to humiliate to some existence so women are seen not credible due to their gender in a courtroom. It is necessary to address these issues not to get tempered up but so they can be examined and changed
